WHEELCHAIR USERS AND FAMILIES: Just contact us via the link above if you would like to try wheelchair skating on a Saturday morning in Battersea Park, south London. We need 24 hour’s notice to make sure we have enough equipment but we welcome new members. We meet in the North West car park from 10am (near the children’s zoo) to set up the chairs, the skate starts from the Pagoda at 10.30am.
Our experienced skaters, some of whom are parents of disabled children, push the chairs. If friends or family want to come along there is a bike hire shop next to the zoo or you are of course welcome to skate with us - all abilities welcome, this is a beginner skate.
We make every effort to ensure the safety of our skates and carry out risk assessments for all activities and events, we make sure our pushers are experienced skaters. If you choose to participate you do so understanding that accidents sometimes happen.
